Package Names
When shipping with DX Despatch Manager through Shiptheory, you may wish to send multiple package sizes. You can see how to set these up in this support article. In the case of DX Despatch Manager, your packages must be named one of the following to pass Shiptheory's validation:
Package Name |
Pouch |

Differences when using packages
When using custom package sizes, there will be a number of differences in how Shiptheory handles the processing of your shipment data when compared to a shipment with no packages.
Weight
When using custom package sizes, shiptheory will calculate the total weight of your DX shipment by summing the total weight of your packages. When not using packages, shiptheory will take the total weight from the shipment information that we receive from your sales channel.
Parcel count
When using custom package sizes, shiptheory will calculate the total number of parcels in your DX shipment by summing the total number of packages. When not using packages, shiptheory will take the parcel count from the shipment information that we receive from your sales channel.
