Shiptheory's Swiss Post integration has some advanced settings allowing you to customise your shipping labels, notification preferences and more.
To access Swiss Post's advanced settings, from any page in Shiptheory, click on your username in the top-right blue menu and select 'Swiss Post' from the drop-down menu. On the settings page, at the bottom-left of the page, click the grey Advanced Settings icon.
If you have not activated Swiss Post in your account, follow this guide to connect Swiss Post with your Shiptheory account.
Trim shipping data?
Swiss Post has some limits on the length of some of the data you send them when booking a shipment. You can select:
- Don't trim, show warnings
Any data that exceeds the allowed limit by Swiss Post will stop the shipment processing and return an error message describing the information that needs to be corrected before you can retry booking the shipment
- Automatically trim shipping data
Any data that exceeds the allowed limit by Swiss Post will be automatically trimmed to the maximum allowed length and the shipment booked as normal.
For example, with a limit of 28 characters, "This is a an example of a long sentence" would be trimmed to "This is a an example of a lo"
Print Sender Address? & Print a Sender Logo?
You can choose whether to have your sender's address printed on shipping labels or an image of your choosing, such as a company logo.

Enable Pro Clima?
The pro clima logo indicates an item for which the surcharge for carbon-neutral shipping has been paid. You can choose whether you would like to print this logo on your shipping labels.
For domestic letters, the pro clima logo is printed automatically at no additional charge.
You can enter a short message (34 characters max) to be printed on your shipping labels, above the receiver's address. Note this may not be printed on all services or in the case of a long recipient addresses.
Enter here where you would like Swiss Post to deliver shipments when selecting the 'Deposit Item' enhancement with your shipments. (35 characters maximum).
Optionally, if you would prefer for the customer's delivery instructions from the shipment to be used here, please enter %customer_instructions% into this field:
Swiss Post offer a number of different notifications that can be sent to your customers to inform them of progress updates for their shipment. Select all of the notification services in Shiptheory that you would like to be used (when available) as part of your shipping rules.

Notification Free Text
If you have enabled Delivery Notifications for Swiss Post, you have the option of supplying some Free Text to be included in your notification messages.
