It's easy to connect Swiss Post with your Shiptheory account. The guide below will detail how and explain the options available to you.
Before you get started...
You will need to have requested "Barcode" web service credentials from your Swiss Post account manager. Please note, this is a different service to "API Barcode", the credentials have to be specifically for the "Barcode" web service. Once the service has been activated on your account, you will receive an email from the Swiss Post Web Service Team containing a technical user name, password and franking licence number(s). These are the details we will need to connect with Shiptheory.
Connecting Swiss Post
From any page in Shiptheory, click on your username in the top-right blue menu and select the 'Manage Carriers' option from the drop-down menu:
On the next page, scroll down until you see 'Swiss Post' listed, and click it to enable it within your account. It shouldn't be too far down, the list is in alphabetical order.
The carrier will be activated on your Shiptheory account and you will be redirected to the Swiss Post carrier settings Page.
Enter your Technical user name, password and franking licence number(s) into the respective fields on the page. You can also specify the zip and city of your local post office; this is optional but is required by some shipping services.
If you have been supplied with more than one franking licence number by your account manager, simply add each licence on a new line, like this:
Once you have entered your details, click the 'Test Connection' button below to verify your details are correct and Shiptheory can connect to your account. All going well, you should see this:
If you receive an error, double-check you have typed your username, password and franking licence numbers correctly and try again.
If you're still having any problems, just get in contact with our support team who will be happy to help.
