Shiptheory allows you to specify the number of boxes on a shipment from by adding an extra line of information to your orders and shipments from within BigCommerce.
Setting Number of Boxes for a BigCommerce Order
- Open your orders in BigCommerce by selecting Orders > View in the navigation sidebar
- From the order Actions [...] menu, select View Notes
- Under Order Comments, type "boxes = X" onto a new line, where X is the whole number of boxes for the shipment, e.g. "boxes = 2" for 2 boxes
- Click Save on the order notes and process in Shiptheory as normal
‣ The number of boxes can be added in addition to any customer notes for the order. As long as the "boxes = X" is on a new line, Shiptheory will automatically separate the comments from the boxes information.
Setting Number of Boxes for a new BigCommerce Shipment
- Open your orders in BigCommerce by selecting Orders > View Orders in the navigation sidebar
- For the order for which you wish to create a new shipment, either -
- Click on the [+] icon to expand the order information and click Ship Items from the right-hand panel
- From the Actions [...] menu, select Ship Items
- Click on the [+] icon to expand the order information and click Ship Items from the right-hand panel
- In the shipment pop-up, under Packing Slip Notes, type "boxes = X" onto a new line, where X is the whole number of boxes for the shipment, e.g. "boxes = 2" for 2 boxes
- Click Create Shipment and process in Shiptheory as normal
‣ The number of boxes can be added in addition to any customer notes for the order. As long as the "boxes = X" is on a new line, Shiptheory will automatically separate the comments from the boxes information. It must also be lowercase, any capitalization in "boxes = X" will prevent us from processing it as the boxes field.
