Seeing an error on shipments : missing/invalid shipper number.

This error is generated from UPS.

Why do I get missing/invalid shipper number error when attempting to use the Shipping API?


You may have received this error for a number of reasons. However, more than likely it's because your shipper number (Account Number) from the Shipping API was not added to your profile.

To verify you have the correct information in your profile:
  1. Log in to (Be sure to use the same User ID and Password that is in your Shipping API)
  2. Select Account Summary from the My UPS tab rollover menu. 
  3. Verify that your account is listed; if not, select the Add a UPS Account link
  4. Follow the instructions to add the account

After following the above, if your Shipper number is still showing as incorrect please check that your account is in good financial standing with UPS as this error can be caused be incomplete billing information.
