Sometimes, you might not always want to return the same courier name or courier service name to all of the sales channels connected to your Shiptheory account. If this is the case, Shiptheory offers an option to customise your carrier and service names on a per-channel basis.

From the left-hand navigation menu, select Settings > Carrier & Service Names

The page will list each of the active sales channels on your account, including the Shiptheory API. Each active carrier is then listed under each sales channel. To change the name of a carrier sent back to a sales channel, simply enter a custom name next to the carrier name.

For example, any order from Brightpearl booked with a Royal Mail service would have "Standard Carrier" returned as the shipment carrier name:

To customise carrier names, select a carrier and click "Add a new custom service name". A dropdown menu will appear so you can choose the service name to customise. One or more service names can be customised.

For example, any order from Shopify booked with DPD's ExpressPak Next Day service would have "Expedited Service" returned as the shipment carrier service name. The carrier name would remain as "DPD":

Once your done, click Save
