Peoplevox operates somewhat differently compared to most other channels. In its default setup, Peoplevox depends on Shiptheory to book shipments with a carrier immediately and provide a tracking number simultaneously. Consequently, if you choose to schedule your shipments for a later date using the waiting or scheduled workflows, tracking information will not be returned to Peoplevox.
Activating deferred updates allows for the tracking information to be sent to Peoplevox at a later time. Shiptheory will dispatch updates to Peoplevox in batches every other minute.
This feature requires some additional configuration steps. To activate deferred updates and access its related settings, navigate to your Peoplevox settings in Shiptheory and scroll down until you reach the section labelled "Deferred Updates," then set the "Enable Deferred Updates" option to "Enabled."
Once the feature is enabled, enter your login credentials and establish your template field names. Shiptheory utilizes the "Sales order" template in Peoplevox to update sales orders with tracking information, meaning Shiptheory must be aware of how you have labelled the fields in your Sales order template.
To locate this information, log into Peoplevox and go to Integrations > Integration Templates > Sales order > Configure.
You will need to input the value from the "Field name" column into the corresponding field in Shiptheory.
After you have entered all the necessary information, click "Test Connection" in Shiptheory. This action will confirm whether Shiptheory can successfully connect to Peoplevox.
