Create new integration
Step 1
To create a new integration, please prepare your GFS username and password.
Create a new integration by going to Carriers > Manage Carriers. On the carriers page, scrolll down and under Connect a New Carrier Account, look for GFS or type GFS in the search box. Press the green plus to continue.
Step 2
In the above screen, after entering your username and password, click the Courier Contract Numbers button to bring up a popup to enter your contract numbers for different couriers.
Enter the contract numbers you have in the popup and click Done to close the popup.
Step 3 - Test the connection
Click Test Connection to test it, you should see a successful message. Click Save to finish the setup.
Advanced Settings
Test Mode
Enable Test Mode to produce label only for testing labels. You will need to contact GFS for testing account.
Trim Long Shipping Data
Different carriers have different limits on the length of some of the data you send them when booking a shipment. You can select:
- No, display Warning
Any data that exceeds the allowed limit by GFS's carriers will stop the shipment processing and return an error message describing the information that needs to be corrected before you can retry booking the shipment - Yes, Trim data
Any data that exceeds the allowed limit by GFS's carriers will be automatically trimmed to the maximum allowed length and the shipment booked as normal.
For example, with a limit of 28 characters, "This is a an example of a long sentence" would be trimmed to "This is a an example of a lo"
Specify Weight Conditions
You can specify either a minimum weight, or set a fix weight for the shipment here.
Collection Cutoff Time
You can specify the collection cutoff time here. Orders processed after this time will be booked in the next collection day. Tick the checkboxes if you collection also take place on weekends.
