For DX Despatch Manager shipments destined for Northern Ireland from Great Britain there are some fields which are required to be sent to ensure there are no delays at customs.
Product Commodity Information
For each of your Products in the shipment, you will need to provide the following under the Windsor Framework:
- Quantity: This is not the same as the number of items/packages
- Commodity Description: A detailed and accurate description of the commodity. Vague descriptions are more likely to be delayed in clearing customs
- Commodity Manufacture Country: If the shipment is a B2B, you will need to provide the country code (e.g. GB)
- Commodity Code: This should be declared based on the UK Trade Tariff. The code is numeric with leading zeros. Do not include any spaces. DX recommends always providing a valid commodity code to prevent any delay
- Weight: Weight of the commodity
- Value: Commercial value of the commodity
You will need at least ONE product in the shipment in order to declare customs.
Shipment Movement Type Setting
There is also a new setting in your DX Despatch Manager setting page: Shipment Movement Type
Please choose what Movement Type you want your shipments to be.
