Package Count

Pitney Bowes only supports one package per request. In Shiptheory this means you can only specify one package per shipment.


Package Naming

Shiptheory lets you name your packages so you can easily identify them when shipping. In the case of Pitney Bowes your packages must be named one of the following to pass Shiptheory's validation:

  • Large Flat
  • Flat Rate Envelope
  • Letter
  • Legal Flat Rate Envelope
  • Letter (Int)
  • Nonmachinable Letter
  • Nonmachinable Letter (Int)
  • Padded Flat Rate Envelope
  • Soft Pack Envelope
  • DVD Flat Rate Box
  • Medium Flat Rate Box
  • Irregular Parcel
  • Large Flat Rate Box
  • Military Large Flat Rate Box
  • Package
  • Small Flat Rate Box
  • Large Video Flat Rate Box


Not all package names are compatible with all services.
