When viewing the Shiptheory dashboard, you may have a shipment that you want to split out into 2 parts. This is possible with the Split Shipment option in Shiptheory.

To split a shipment, first find the shipment and right click on it in the dashboard, then click "Split Shipment":



This will then take you to the Split shipment pop-up which allows you to do the following:



1. Select which of the shipment's products should be split into the new shipment
2. Edit the reference, value, weight and box count of the original shipment

3. Edit the reference, value, weight and box count of the new shipment

Once you are happy with this, hit "Split Shipment". You will then see the split shipments in your dashboard with the updated information:


It is important to note that with some channels, only the original shipment will pass back the tracking number and confirmation. This depends on whether your channel supports multiple tracking numbers and updates.
