Before you start
You will need the following credentials from your DX account: Account Code, Username, Password and Base URL. If you are unsure about any of these details, please get in contact with your DX account manager.
To generate your DX credentials, you will need to create an API user within the DX Webportal.
Click Settings at the top, and select API Access Management:
Next, click the Add API User button:
Fill in the details making sure to make a note of the Username and Password. Set the Role to Super User, then click the save button.
Your Account Number, API Username & Password can now be used within Shiptheory to access your DX account.
Connecting your DX Despatch Manager account
From any page in Shiptheory, click on the Carriers button on the left-hand side of the screen and then select Manage Carriers:
From the next page, scroll down to Connect a New Carrier Account and select DX Despatch Manager:
You will be redirected to the Account Details page:
Enter your DX Despatch Manager Account Code, Username, Password, Base URL into the respective fields.
Once you have entered your details, click the Test Connection button below to verify your details are correct and that Shiptheory can connect to your account. If everything is working, you will see a green confirmation message:
If you receive an error, double-check you have entered your details correctly and try again.
