Within Pall-Ex there is an option to enable surcharges, this setting when disabled will prevent shipments which may contain surcharges, for example when a shipment is expedited. These surcharges will be directly charged through the courier and Shiptheory has no control over the amount.
To enable this setting you will first need to navigate to the Carriers tab along the left hand side of your dashboard. From there select Pall-Ex, then scroll down to 'Advanced Settings' and then 'Allow for surcharges?'
With this setting set to no an error will be displayed on attempt of booking a shipment with a surcharge, see below an example of when the delivery time is outside of the normal working hours:
