When parcels are shipped from the UK to other countries (including Northern Ireland and Europe from 1st January 2021) the VAT amount payable is calculated by Shiptheory. The VAT percentage is the amount of VAT added to your products. Unless this VAT percentage a default VAT of zero is assumed.
To set the VAT percentage complete the following steps.
Set VAT Percentage
At the Shiptheory site, login and click on your username in the top-right blue menu and select the EVRi Corporate option from the drop-down menu (beneath Manage Carriers). This will lead to the settings page.
At the bottom of the settings page, select ADVANCED SETTINGS to show the advanced settings for Hermes. Scroll down to view the VAT as Percentage field.
Enter the amount of VAT (as a percentage) that is added to your products. For example, if the amount of VAT is 20% enter 20 in this field.
Click the Save button to save the changes.
