By default, Shiptheory will set the number of Lifts on Palletways consignments to match the number of Pallets. For example, if you book a consignment that consists of 2 Half Pallets and 1 Full Pallet, the number of lifts will be 3.

Manually specifying the Number of Lifts

You can override this value by manually specifying the number of lifts required for your shipments in the Number of Lifts field when booking your shipments from the shipment pop-up:

Number of Lifts calculated from Pallet Length

If you are selecting pallets sizes manually in Shiptheory (Instructions on Manually Selecting Pallet Sizes), you can have the number of lifts calculated from the total length of all of your pallets.

In your Palletways setting in Shiptheory and click the grey Advanced Settings icon in the bottom-left of the page. Scroll down to Max Lift Pallet Length and enter a length in centimetres:

For example, if you set your Max Lift Pallet Length to 80 cm and shipped 2 pallets with a length set at 110 cm each the number of lifts would be 3:

Total pallet length (220), divided by the max length (80) = 2.75, which rounded up = 3
