When booking in with UPS, the person who pays the duties on international shipments is decided by the below setting, within the UPS advanced settings
However, if you use either Worldwide Economy DDU or Worldwide Economy DDP, these services will overwrite the above setting.
- If you book in your shipment with Worldwide Economy DDU, then the buyer of the goods (the receiver) will be responsible for any import duties on the shipment.
- If you book in your shipment with Worldwide Economy DDP, then the seller of the goods (the sender) will be responsible for any import duties on the shipment.
