Connecting your DHL Parcel UK account with Shiptheory is quick and easy and you'll be booking shipments in no time!



Before you get started

You will need to get in contact with your DHL Parcel UK account or sales manager to let them know you would like to connect your account with Shiptheory. They will guide you through the process to enable API access on your DHL Parcel UK account and register SSO login details. Once completed you should have the following details:

  • SSO Username and Password (or an existing iConsign Username and Password)
  • API key


You will also need to know the account number for your domestic (UK) DHL Parcel UK account. If you plan to book shipments to the EU and/or worldwide, you will also need to know the account numbers for your EU road and international DHL Parcel UK accounts. Your DHL Parcel UK account or sales manager can help you with this if you are not sure of any of these details.



Connecting DHL Parcel UK and Shiptheory

From any page in Shiptheory, click on your username in the top-right blue menu and select the 'Manage Carriers' option from the drop-down menu:


From the next page, scroll down to Connect a New Carrier Account and click on the DHL Parcel UK logo:


The carrier will be activated on your Shiptheory account and you will be redirected to the DHL Parcel UK settings page.


Enter your Username, Password, API Key obtained from your DHL account manager into the respective fields.

You will at least need to enter your domestic (UK) DHL Parcel UK account number but if you plan to book shipments to the EU and/or worldwide, you will also need to enter these account numbers.


Finally, enter the earliest and latest times that DHL can make a parcel collection from your premises and a basic description of the goods you will be sending.


Click the 'Test Connection' button below to verify your details are correct and Shiptheory can connect to your account. All going well, you should see this:


If you receive an error, double-check you have typed your username, password, API Key and domestic account number are correct and try again.
