It's quick and easy to get started booking your USPS shipments with Shiptheory. The guide below will help to get you going in no time!



Before you Start

Shiptheory's integration with USPS is via Stamps.com, an Approved Licensed Vendor of USPS. You will first need to have an active Stamps.com account, visit https://registration.stamps.com to get set up. Once signed up, make a note of your username and password.



Connecting your Stamps.com account

From any page in Shiptheory, click on your username in the top-right blue menu and select the 'Manage Carriers' option from the drop-down menu:


From the next page, scroll down to Connect a New Carrier Account and click on the USPS logo to activate the courier on your Shiptheory account:


You will be redirected to the new USPS Account Details page.


Enter your Stamps.com Username and Password, a basic description of the goods you will be sending with USPS and set your address validation preferences. Please have a read of this support article for more information about USPS Address Validation in Shiptheory.


Click the Test Connection button below to verify your details are correct and Shiptheory can connect to your account. All going well, you should be greeted with success:


If you receive an error, double-check you have entered your Stamps.com Username and Password correctly and that your Stamps.com is fully set up and active before trying again.
