It's quick and easy to connect Asendia with your Shiptheory account. Follow the steps below to get started.

Before you get started

There are a few bits of information you will need to have ready before you can connect your accounts. You will need to speak to your Asendia account manager to request API credentials (username and password) for your Asendia account. A request will be forwarded to the Asendia IT team for these to be generated.

Connecting Asendia

From any page in Shiptheory, click on your username in the top-right blue menu and select Manage Carriers:

From the next page, scroll down to Connect a New Carrier Account and click on the Asendia logo:

Asendia will be activated on your Shiptheory account and you will be redirected to the settings page where you can enter your API username and password and Asendia CRM ID respective fields:

Important: If you have provided UAT or test credentials by Asendia and have been asked to submit test labels you will need to put your Asendia account into Test Mode otherwise your credentials will fail to authenticate. Once you have entered your username, password and CRM ID, click the grey Advanced Settings cog icon in the bottom left of your settings page. Under Enable Test Mode, select "Yes, I'm currently testing".

Once you have been provided with live credentials from Asenda IT, you can return this setting back to "No, I want real labels" to produce real shipping labels.

Click Test Connection to verify your details are correct and Shiptheory can connect to your account. All going well, you should see this:

If you receive an error, double-check you have typed your username and password are correct and try again. If you have been supplied with UAT or test credentials by Asendia, please check the blue box marked "Important" above.
