Adding Insurance Cover to your shipments with LF&E is as simple as selecting the Insured enhancement when setting up your LF&E shipping rules or manually booking a shipment.
By default, Shiptheory will declare the full order value of your shipment as the amount to insure.
If you wish to specify a different amount to cover, please follow the instructions below.
How to specify an Insurance amount
You can enter an insurance cover amount into the shipment's delivery instructions. Shiptheory will then detect and use the value from this field when booking the shipment. The insurance value declaration will not be included in any delivery instructions sent to the LF&E.
Into your delivery instructions field, add the desired insurance amount on a new line, in the following pattern (do not add a currency symbol, just numbers):
insurance: 000.00
For example: insurance: 259.40
