Shiptheory supports TNT customers who both have regular collections from their premises and ship on an ad-hoc basis. For those customers that only ship occasionally, Shiptheory can automatically request for TNT to book a collection of your shipments.
In your TNT settings in Shiptheory, there is a setting entitled Do you have Regular TNT Collections? where you can set your shipment collection arrangement. Make sure to set this correctly to ensure that your shipments are collected and to prevent any potential additional charges from TNT:
Regular TNT Collections
In most cases, customers shipping with TNT will have regular collections arranged with their local depot. In this instance, set your collections setting to "Yes, I have regular TNT collections"
If you ship multiple parcels every day, this is the most efficient and convenient way to ship. If you don't have this set up with TNT, speak to your account manager to discuss this arrangement.
Occasional TNT Shipments
If you don't have regular collections arranged, TNT will need to be notified when you collect shipments from your premises. Ensure that you have set your collections setting to "No, I don't have collections arranged". Shiptheory will then automatically send a notification to TNT as you book your shipments to request that they arrange a collection on that day.
You will need to make sure that you book your shipments with enough time allowed for TNT to be able to arrange and make the collection in time on that day. This depends on the distance between your premises and your local TNT depot and the collection preferences times set in your Shiptheory TNT settings.
If you are not sure how much time you should allow between booking your shipments and when they can be collected, please speak to your TNT account manager who can help you with this. Shiptheory support will not be able to help advise with this.
Collection Booking Confirmation
If you have selected that you do not have regular collections arranged, you can select to receive a collection booking email to confirm a collection has been arranged as you book your shipments. This email is sent to the email address saved in your Shiptheory shipping location address.
To change this setting, from your TNT settings page in Shiptheory, click Advanced Settings at the bottom of the page and scroll down to the Receive Collection Booking Emails setting:
Please note: It can take up to one hour for TNT to generate and send this email.
