To allow Shiptheory to connect directly with your printers, you will need to use the Shiptheory Print Client. To find out more about how automatic printing can be used in Shiptheory, you can read our Support Guide.

Installation and Setup
Once you have downloaded the Shiptheory Print Client for MacOS, you can open it from your downloads in your Dock.
From within this file, drop the file ShiptheoryPrintClient into your Applications folder. This will begin the install.
Then from within the Applications folder, open the ShiptheoryPrintClient program.
You may get a message saying the file cannot be opened as it was not downloaded from Apple's Appstore. On the message just click the OK button to close it.
You will need to allow the Shiptheory Print Client to install from within your System Preferences. To do this, click the Apple logo in the top left of your Mac and choose System Preferences from the dropdown (As seen in the image below on the right).
Within System Preferences, you will need to navigate to Security and Privacy. From within this new window, you will see a message asking if the ShiptheoryPrintClient should be opened. Click the Open Anyway button, a popup may also appear, you will need to confirm that you would like to install this.
You will also need to open and login to the Shiptheory Print Client. To do this you either find it in your Application folder, or search your Mac for 'Shiptheory'. Once open, simply login to it with the same details you use to login to your Shiptheory account.
Once Logged in for the first time, it will minimise itself. The Shiptheory Print Client will continue to run in the background of your Mac. This you always to be able to print from your Shiptheory account.
Where can I find and access the Shiptheory Print Client?
To open the Print Client while it is running on your Mac, click the circular symbol in the top right screen and choose the Open Shiptheory Client option from the dropdown. From here you can view the printers that Shiptheory can access from this computer.
Now the Shiptheory Print Client has been installed, you are able to configure your print settings from within your Shiptheory account. This can be accessed by clicking here.
