Canadian Export shipments that are not destined to the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico where the declared shipment value is more than $2,000 CAD require a B13A Export Declaration.
If in your Shiptheory FedEx settings you have selected that you submit manual documentation or that your shipments are exempt, you don't need to worry about this and can continue to use Shiptheory as normal.
If you have selected that your B13A Export Documents are Filed Electronically, you will need to provide a valid Proof of Report number for each qualifying shipment, such as is returned from the Statistics Canada and CBSA’s Canadian Automated Export Declaration (CAED) program.
A B13A Proof of Report number can be added to your shipment's Delivery Instructions in the following format:
This information can be added to any existing shipment delivery instructions. Existing instructions will be preserved and these details will be removed on processing the FedEx shipment.
You can add the Export Declaration Statement to your shipment's delivery instructions in its original channel, e.g. Brightpearl, Shopify, or TradeGecko, or follow the steps below or add them to an existing Shiptheory shipment.
