It's easy to connect FedEx with your Shiptheory account. The guide below will detail how and explain the options available to you.

Activate FedEx

From any page in Shiptheory, click on your username in the top-right blue menu and select the Manage Carriers option from the drop-down menu:

On the next page, scroll down until you see the FedEx option.

FedEx will be activated on your Shiptheory account and you will be redirected to a page to connect your FedEx account to Shiptheory.

Connect your FedEx account

Enter your FedEx account number, shipping location address, contact details for someone who manages this integration and a general description of the goods you will be shipping with FedEx.

The shipping location address will be pre-filled with the shipping location address saved on your Shiptheory account. The address must match the address registered on your FedEx account. If you need to update the address, you can do so here, but note that this will update your Shiptheory shipping location address.

Once you're happy, review the EULA and click Connect Account:

Your integration with Shiptheory will be registered and, all going well, you will be redirected to your Shiptheory FedEx settings page.

Your FedEx Settings

At the top of the page, your account number and the description of goods entered in the registration step are displayed. Below this, you can select which email notifications will be sent to your customers for shipments booked via Shiptheory, the currency you use, and whether any additional shipping charges (eg. import fees) are paid for by the shipper or recipient.

Once you are happy with your changes, click Save to save your details and return to the shipments page.

If you have any questions, just get in contact with our support team who will be happy to help.

Advanced FedEx settings

In the bottom left of the settings page, there is a grey Advanced Settings button. Clicking this reveals additional options for your connection with FedEx.

First listed are your account's Developer Key, Developer Password and Meter Number. These are the details obtained during registration and directly relate to the connection between your FedEx account and Shiptheory account. These details are for reference only. Do not amend these details unless you know what you are doing else your integration may stop working.
